Ski holidays in Isola 2000 remain a popular choice for family ski holidays, particularly for families on a budget. There is low cost but good standard accommodation available in Isola 2000, mainly on a self catering board basis. Ideally only a 1.5 hours drive time from Nice airport (traffic depending), and has a good range of beginner and intermediate runs making it perfect for families and big groups of mixed abilities.


Isola 2000 is a great choice during ski holidays as flights to Nice tend to be much cheaper than the likes of Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon and Chambery which service the bulk of the other French ski resorts.


Sitting at 2000m with 430 snow cannons, Isola 2000 is almost guaranteed great snow conditions throughout the season which runs from the 2nd week in December to the first week of April. The unique microclimate of the Col de la Lombarde also means that visitors to Isola 2000 get to enjoy fantastic sunshine as well as great snow.

Skiing in Isola 2000

Isola 2000 offers skiers 45 ski runs, including 3 black runs, 13 red runs, 22 blue runs and 7 green runs, between 1800m and 2610m. From the top of the resort, you can enjoy an incredible panorama as far as the Mediterranean Sea.



At 2300m in the Marmottes area, freestylers can get their kicks at Tony's Snowland Snowpark with slopestyle, handrails/slide bars, boardercross etc. There is a beginner's area, "the family park" so there's space for all abilities not just the pros.

Aprés ski in Isola 2000

As a family-orientated resort, the aprés ski in Isola 2000 is nothing to shout home about. However, there are a few bars/restaurant-bars in the resort. For those looking to the party there are a couple of bars/clubs open late into the night - Le Txupito and Le Crocodile Pub.


But if, like many others, you are here with the family and not out for a party, there are plenty of lovely restaurants in Isola 2000 to sample. There's plenty of other activities to get involved in, be it dog sledding with huskies, snowmobiling, ice driving, Snake Gliss sledding, Greenbiking also known as Moonbikes and Yooner sledges amongst many other things to try out.

Transfers to Isola 2000

There are no shared transfers to Isola 2000 so it needs to be private transfers to get there. Fortunately, the transfer is a short one for a ski resort, 1.5 hours (depending on the traffic) so private transfers are pretty good value.
