L'Amara Avoriaz

The Premium Residence L’Amara Avoriaz apartments (5*) are amongst our favourite ski apartments to stay in. All of the apartments are very well appointed and furnished - providing the right amount of independence for your ski holiday, with self catering allowing you to eat out, or stay in and cook whenever you want - however you want.

These apartments are also ski in/ski out which is a massive plus for anybody who is used to trudging across ski resorts with skis in uncomfortable boots. The apartments here have balconies, which allow guests to enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding ski area.

The residence has its own wellness area, which includes a pool, whirlpool, sauna, hammam and gym - treatments are also available, and the outside jacuzzi is available to use at a surcharge. There’s also all of the alpine charm and hospitality you would expect - there’s even a shopping service available, as well as optional bread and pastry deliveries.

All of the apartments have a kitchenette complete with a hob, fridge, microwave grill, coffee machine and dishwasher. Wifi is available and there’s separate bathrooms and WC. Ski lockers and a boot room are also available to use.

L'Amara Avoriaz Apartment Sizes

There’s an array of apartment sizes available - the smallest being a 1 bedroom apartment for 4 people, which has a bedroom with either a double bed or 2 single beds in it and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The largest apartment has 4 bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 people.

These apartments are available on a self catering basis - with the apartments having kitchens to prepare your meals. Most of the customers who book with us choose to go self catering, allowing them complete flexibility and freedom over their holiday.

L'Amara Avoriaz Location

An unbeatable location allows complete flexibility and convenience. It’s ski in/ski out - with a five minute walk into the centre of the resort. Ten minutes walk away from ski school meeting points, and around ten minutes walk to the nearest ski lift. There’s car parks nearby, as well as private parking which is available at a fee.

Why Avoriaz?

Situated at 1800 meters, Avoriaz is simply one of the best ski resorts in Europe, offering breathtaking views and reliable snow cover. As part of the vast Portes du Soleil ski area (one of the largest in the world), it provides access to approximately 600 km of diverse slopes suitable for all skill levels.

There are 2 ski passes available to book in Avoriaz, the Avoriaz local area ski pass, which covers approximately 120km of pistes, which is more than enough for beginners or even intermediate level skiers. Or you can book the aforementioned full area Portes du Soleil ski pass that covers a whopping 600km of pistes.

Ideally located a short transfer from Geneva airport (approximately 1 hour 40 minutes), making it a great choice for families or for those wanting a shorter ski holiday. In terms of a resort with a short transfer time, you can't really beat what Avoriaz offers.

The resort’s unique car-free village, ensures a safe environment that is still easily navigable by horse-drawn sleigh or snow vehicle, which is always a lovely treat and sets the tone for your upcoming Alpine adventure. Transfers get dropped off at the Avoriaz welcome centre and from there you can book your sleigh or snow vehicle to take you onto your accommodation.

The resort is picturesque with the accommdation in Avoriaz all featuring distinctive wooden architecture, which creates a wonderful Alpine atmosphere.

Families will appreciate the children's village, the Aquariaz water park, as well as the many other off-slope activities available. Couples will love the array of fantastic restaurants that the resort has to offer, and groups looking to party will enjoy the aprés ski venues, variety of bars and nightlife.
