The 4* Chalet Val 2400 residence offers cosy and spacious, self catering apartments located ideally 100m from the slopes. Guests will love the incredible views over the resort and slopes that can be seen from the apartment balconies. The comfortable lounges feature wood burning stoves to warm the bones after a long day on the slopes, it really makes you feel at home in the Alps.
The ever popular resort of Val Thorens is part of the largest ski area in the world and is by far our most popular resort. Chalet Val 2400 offers the perfect base to enjoy all this fantastic resort has to offer.
A highlight of this residence is the onsite relaxation area which has a sauna and hammam, this would be free to use for guests staying at the Chalet Val 2400 residence.
There's a friendly pub next door, the Red Fox, which is open daily from 4pm to 2am.
Chalet Val 2400 is a self catering residence and all the apartments have fully functional kitchens to make your self catering stay as easy as possible. The kitchens have the following - dishwasher, microwave, oven and ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, toaster, filter coffee machines and kettle. Staying self catering works great for those on a budget, families with fussy kids or those with allergies. There is a supermarket close by for groceries.
For those that do not want to cook during their holiday, we have also teamed up with local restaurants to be able to offer this accommodation half-board, dinners only or B&B.
1. Option 1 - L'Auberge des Balcons (just across the road).
This would include continental buffet breakfasts and 3 course evening meals from a set menu each night.
2. Option 2 - John's restaurants (Scandinavian Brasserie & Wine Bar, (8 min away) and John's American (14 min away).
This would include continental buffet breakfasts which would be served in Scandinavian which is around a 8 minute walk/short free shuttle bus ride from the residence. For evening meals, you have the choice of eating in Scandinavian or Johns American (approx. 14 mins away). This is a great way to try different food options throughout the week.
The residence does offer a bakery service, you can order fresh pastries and bread at the reception for the following morning. They would be delivered to your apartment.

The smallest apartment would be a 2 bedroom, apartment for 4/6 people and the largest would be 5 bedroom + mezzanine apartment for up to 14 people.

Val Thorens is an incredibly popular resort, by far our most popular. Peak times include over Christmas and New Year, and the February and the Easter school holidays. Book early to ensure you are able to visit the accommodation you want to, at the best prices. The season in Val Thorens runs from late November to late April.

The ESF ski school in Val Thorens is great, with friendly English speaking instructors. It's the perfect place to learn or to hone your skills.
In Val Thorens you have 2 options when it comes to ski passes, the Val Thorens local ski pass which includes approximately 150km of pistes, so plenty for beginners and intermediate level skiers or as mentioned previously the full 3 Valleys ski pass. The full 3 Valleys ski pass allows you to ski over to neighbouring ski resorts Meribel and Courchevel.
Val Thorens itself caters to a wide range of group types, whether you are a couple, a family or a large group there is something for everyone. For groups looking to party, Val Thorens is right up there in terms of aprés ski, bars and nightlife. For couples, there's a wide range of amazing restaurants for a lovely romantic meal. For families, there are many off slope activities to keep the kids entertained for the duration of your stay including a bowling alley, a sports centre with a swimming pool, a fun park (soft play/play park), a toboggan run, a cinema, an ice rink, snow groomer rides etc.

All the apartments have free, unlimited Wi-Fi and the following:

You can check in from 5pm and check out is at 10am. It's always worth going to the reception when you arrive to see whether the apartment is ready. They have a luggage storage room where you can leave your bags.
You will need to pay your tourist tax directly to the residence, this is €2.53 per person per day (+18). You will also have to pay a refundable damage deposit, this is €500 per apartment. This will be held until your apartment has been checked at the end of your stay. This can be paid by credit card (American Express is not accepted) at the reception when you check in. The funds are pre-authorised which means they are not taken off your card, but the amount will not be available to spend.

The reception is open from 8.00am to 12pm and 4pm-7pm (Sunday to Friday) and 8am to 8pm on Saturdays.
If you are going to be arriving after 6pm, you must contact the reception in advance of the day of your arrival to find out the late check in procedure. They will explain how to collect your keys.

Up to 15 days before travel, let us know if you have a preferred view, orientation, floor, building, or distance from reception, so we can inform the residence of your preferences. Subject to availability, we cannot guarantee that requests will be fulfilled but we will always ask for you.
An initial supply will be, after that you will need to purchase them. There are shops nearby.
Yes, there will be a hairdryer in the room. Ask for an iron at the reception.
Yes, bed linen is provided and beds are made on arrival. Sofa beds are not made on arrival. Bathroom towels (1 large and 1 small per person) are also provided with one change mid stay.
End of stay cleaning is included except for the kitchen, dishes, the balcony and bins. A cleaning kit (dishcloth and sponge, 2 dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, a bottle of cleaning product) is also provided.
Yes, you would have free Wi-Fi access in the apartment.
You have free and unlimited access to the hammam and sauna. The relaxation area is open from 10am to 8pm every day aside from Saturdays.

Yes, there is a covered car park. This is from €80 per week per car and subject to availability. Please let us know early if you require a car parking space. The is a height restriction of 2.10m.
Pets are welcome at the residence, they would be €75 per week. Please advise the reception well in advance if you intend to bring your pet.
This is a self catering residence and all the apartments come with functional kitchens. We do have some catering options that you can add, you can read about these above. A bakery service is available at the reception, you can get bread and pastries delivered to your apartments in the mornings.
There is a free shuttle bus that you can use to get around Val Thorens. The bus picks up at the nearby Les Balcons de Val Thorens residence.
The residence is located 150m from the slopes, so it is a great location. You can ski in if you are an intermediate level skier.
One bag of wood is provided, additional bags of wood would be €7.
