Residence Val Chaviere Val Thorens offers spacious self catering apartments based in a great location within this fantastic ski resort. This apartment complex itself is built in the traditional chalet style, perfect for those looking to stay in authentic alpine accommodation. The apartments are right on the pistes, and you ski out of the residence every morning. When back at your apartment, the centre of the resort is just one hundred metres away - allowing you to enjoy all of the fantastic bars and restaurants found in Val Thorens.

 

Guests here can also enjoy free access to the spa area in their sister residence, Les Balcons de Val Thorens (less than a 15 minute walk or a short ride away on the resort's free shuttle bus). This compromises of an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, hot tubs and fitness room.

Residence Val Chaviere operates on a self catering basis, which in our opinion is how exactly a Val Thorens ski holiday should be enjoyed. All of the apartments feature a fully equipped kitchenette, allowing you to shop locally and prepare meals for you and your group on evenings and lunchtimes where you do not eat out. Choosing self catering accommodation in Val Thorens allows you to enjoy your holiday on your own terms, giving you maximum flexibility.

 

For those that don't want to cook on their holiday, we have teamed up with nearby local restaurants to be able to offer this accommodation half board, dinners only or B&B if you prefer not to cook on your holiday.

 

This would include continental buffet breakfasts, with breads, pastries, eggs, meats and cheese, juices and hot drinks, would be served in Scandinavian Brasserie & Wine Bar which is around a 7 minute walk from the residence. For evening meals, you have the choice of eating in Scandinavian or Johns American (also 7 minutes away). This is a great way to try different food options throughout the week.

The full 3 Valleys ski pass allows you to ski over to neighbouring ski resorts Meribel and Courchevel.

 

Val Thorens itself caters to a wide range of group types, whether you are a couple, a family or a large group there is something for everyone. For groups looking to party, Val Thorens is right up there in terms of aprés ski, bars and nightlife. For couples, there's a wide range of amazing restaurants for a lovely romantic meal. Frequent Questions Asked

You can check-in from 5pm, but it's always worth going to the reception when you arrive to see whether the apartment is ready. They have a luggage storage room where you can leave your bags. You have to check out by 10am.

Tourist tax @ €4.73 per person per day (free for under 18's). You will also have to leave a security deposit of €800 upon arrival. This will be held until your apartment has been checked at the end of your stay. This can be paid by credit card at the reception when you check-in. The funds are pre-authorised which means they aren’t taken off your card, but the amount will not be available to spend.

The reception is open 0830 to 1100 / 1630 to 1900 Monday to Thursday. On a Saturday it's open 0700 to 1230 / 1330 to 2000. On Fridays and Saturdays it's open 0830 to 1100 / 1630 to 1930.

If you will be arriving at the residence after they close, you need to call the reception 00 33 4 79 00 90 70 to find out the late check-in procedure.

Subject to availability, we cannot guarantee that requests will be fulfilled but we will always ask for you. Some apartment types cannot be next to each other as they aren't in the same building.
