The 4* Le Kalinda residence is nestled in the picturesque ski village of Tignes 1800, Le Kalinda offers a serene escape in the heart of the French Alps. This premium residence combines traditional Alpine charm with modern amenities, providing an exceptional experience for it's guests.

The residence is a great base to explore all that the vast Tignes-Val d'Isere ski area offers. With around 300km of pistes, there's something for skiers of all abilities. You can ski (or take the free resort shuttle bus) to the other Tignes villages or over to Val d'Isere to explore there.

All of the apartments at Le Kalinda are elegantly furnished, from the smallest 4 person apartments to the largest 8 person apartments, each are designed with comfort and style in mind. The interiors blend rustic wood finishes with contemporary touches, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen to make your self catering stay as easy and as comfortable as possible.

A particular highlight of this residence is the free access to the spa area. The spa has an indoor heated swimming pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room, and a fitness room. Spa treatments such as massages, facials and body treatments are available for a supplement.

Le Kalinda is ideally located centrally in Tignes 1800 and benefits from having a Skiset ski hire shop onsite and the ESF meeting points just across the road, making life when you arrive in resort that much easier.

All of the Le Jhana Tignes apartments come equipped with fully functional kitchens (4 ring ceramic hob, multi-function oven, hood, fridge, dishwasher, electric coffee maker, kettle, mixer, steamer and toaster), it makes a great choice for those wanting a self catering holiday.

This means that you would be able to eat what you want when you want rather than having to have set meal times. This is a fantastic option for families with young or fussy kids or for those with food allergies. There are supermarkets close by for groceries. As eating out in ski resorts can be costly, staying self catering and buying from the supermarkets can help keep costs down for those on a budget.

The residence does offer a bakery service, you would just need to arrange this at the reception the night before (before 6pm) and your order of fresh bread and pastries can be collected the following morning from the reception.

For those that want to eat out, there are a collection of great restaurants to choose from in Tignes 1800.

Le Kalinda Tignes Apartment Sizes

There are four different apartment types available at the residence.

The smallest apartment available sleeps up to 4 people with 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and a sofa bed in the lounge that sleeps 2. The largest apartment is a 3 bedroom apartment that sleeps up to 8 people, it has 1 bedroom with a double bed, 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each and a sofa bed in the lounge that sleeps 2.

Ski School and Ski Hire Shop Location

There is a Skiset hire shop ideally onsite which makes it quicker and easier to collect your gear, and is ideal if you have ski lessons in the morning.

The ESF ski school meeting point is just across the road (1 minute walk away), making it as easy as possible to get to your first lesson on time in the morning.

Why Book Tignes?

The Tignes and Val d'Isere ski area comes under one lift pass and offers 300kms of top quality slopes. A large proportion of the pistes are over 2000-2500m, offering snow-sure skiing and long runs. The Grand Motte glacier is one of the highest in Europe starting at over 3,700m. You can certainly feel the effects of the altitude at that height! There are pistes for every type of skier, glacier skiing and some of the best off-piste in the Alps!

La Fornet Glacier in Val d'Isere also offers some great runs and you also have the Famous Face de Bellevarde black run dropping into Val d'isere village. This is the old Olympic Downhill ski run and it's scary to think that competitors used to straight line it down the final slope.

Tignes is made up of five different villages (Tignes Val Claret, Tignes le Lac, Tignes Le Lavachet, Tignes Les Boisses/Tignes 1800 and Tignes Brévières). Residence Le Jhana is in Tignes 1800 which is quiet and perfect for a relaxing break away as a couple, a family or a chilled break away with friends. The different villages of Tignes are easily accessible using the free resort bus that stops regularly at each village, so if you need to get back from the livelier Tignes Val Claret after some aprés ski that's not a problem.
