Chalet Le Refuge

The 4* Chalet Le Refuge residence is an excellent value option for those looking for a comfortable and relaxing holiday in the Alps. The residence is located in the Les Eucherts district of La Rosiere, with the centre of La Rosiere being a 10-15 minute walk or short free shuttle bus ride away.


Staying in La Rosiere allows you to ski in both France and Italy so you can experience both cultures on the same day! You could maybe have a croissant for breakfast, an authentic pizza for lunch and some Fondue for dinner? The delicious possibilities are endless.


All of the apartments are cosy, spacious and well equipped. They come with a bathroom or shower room with a toilet per bedroom, so it makes life a lot easier in the mornings when you are trying to get out onto the slopes nice and early. The apartments each have a wood-burning stone fireplace to make you feel at home in the Alps and to warm your bones after a long day on the slopes.


A highlight of this residence is the free access guests have to the onsite "relaxation area", which has an indoor swimming pool (which is fitted with an endless swimming system) and a sauna.


 

Chalet Le Refuge board basis


Chalet Le Refuge apartments come equipped with fully functional kitchens (with dishwasher, microwave, cooker with oven and ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, toaster, coffee machine), it makes a great choice for those wanting a self catering holiday.


This means that you would be able to eat what you want when you want rather than having to have set meal times. This is a fantastic option for families with any fussy kids or for those with food allergies. Shops are nearby in the resort for groceries.


A bakery delivery service is available, fresh bread and pastries can be sent directly to your apartment in the morning. This can be arranged at the residence's reception.


For those that want to eat out, there are plenty of restaurants close by to choose from in both Les Eucherts and the centre of La Rosiere.


 

Chalet Le Refuge Apartment Sizes


There are four different apartment types available at the residence.


The smallest apartment available sleeps up to eight people, with 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed and pull out bed. The largest apartment they have sleeps up to 14 people with 6 bedrooms and a sofa bed and pull out bed.

Ski School and Ski Hire Shop Location


The ESF ski school meeting point in Les Eucherts and the ski hire shop is approximately 5 minutes away from the residence.


 

Why Book La Rosiere?


La Rosiere is an excellent resort for families and it provides everything that any holidaymaker would want to enjoy their holiday. From varied pistes suitable for a mixture of abilities, to plenty of bars and lovely restaurants to enjoy. The La Rosiere-Espace San Bernardo ski area is a good size at approximately 160km. A major plus of skiing in La Rosiere is that you can ski in two countries, France of course and also Italy! You can hop onto your skis, cross the board and enjoy some Italian culture, two holidays in one.


La Rosiere is one of the most reliable resorts for great snow, it's snow record is fantastic and is open from Mid December to Late April.

Frequent Questions Asked

You can check in from 5pm and check out is at 10am. It's always worth going to the reception when you arrive to see whether the apartment is ready. They have a luggage storage room where you can leave your bags.

You will need to pay your tourist tax directly to the residence, this is €1.50 per person per day (+18). You will also have to pay a refundable damage deposit, this is €500 per apartment. This will be held until your apartment has been checked at the end of your stay. This can be paid by credit card (not American Express) at the reception when you check in. The funds are pre-authorised which means they are not taken off your card, but the amount will not be available to spend.

The reception is open from 8am to 12pm and 4pm to 7pm (Sunday to Friday) and 8am to 8pm on Saturdays.

If you are going to be arriving after 6pm, you must contact the reception in advance of the day of your arrival to find out the late check in procedure. They will explain how to collect your keys.

An initial supply will be, after that you will need to purchase them. There are shops nearby for supplies and groceries.

Yes, there will be a hairdryer in the room. You can ask for an iron at the reception.

Yes, bed linen is provided and beds are made on arrival. Sofa beds are not made on arrival. Bathroom towels (1 large and 1 small per person) are also provided with one change mid stay.
