Les Bergers - Alpe d'Huez is a Pierre et Vacances residence which is an excellent value option in a fantastic resort that has a vast ski area, great après-ski whilst also being an ideal location for a family holiday.
Les Bergers Pierre & Vacances' residence is located in the popular Bergers area of Alpe d'Huez, where you can take advantage of the exceptional sunshine (lots of sunshine all year round). It's a Family Plus-certified holiday village, with lots of restaurants and bars in close proximity.
Guests can enjoy the outside heated swimming pool to help ease aches after a long day on the slopes. There is also a relaxation area with a solarium and sauna.
The ski lifts are just 100m from the residence and the new children's village which is ideal for families. You'll get to enjoy access to no less than 250 km of slopes with varied runs to suit whatever your skiing ability.
For fans of food and Savoyard specialities, the onsite restaurant "La Fondue" can be booked at the same time as your accommodation. Later, you can meet up in the onsite bar, relax by the warmth and comfort of the lounge area or play a game of pool.
Les Bergers - Alpe d'Huez Apartment Sizes
As with most apartment accommodation, there are a few different options to choose from - to perfectly suit the needs of your party. The smallest being a studio apartment that sleeps two guests on a double sofa bed or 2 single beds in the lounge, the apartments gradually increase in size up to a 6 person apartment with a double bedroom, a sleeping area with a bunk bed and sofa beds.

Les Bergers - Alpe d'Huez Board
The apartments at Les Bergers - Alpe d'Huez have well equipped kitchens, so for those looking to stay self catered it is an excellent option. Staying self catered gives you more flexibility in regards to when and what you eat, this is particularly helpful for families with younger kids.
There is also an onsite restaurant that you can book through us, you can either stay half board (breakfasts or dinners) or if you would prefer you can have breakfasts only.

During the school holidays, the residence offers fun and friendly family activities to keep the kids entertained. These include sledges, snow scooters, wooden games and a host of other activities.
You can take a dip in the outdoor heated swimming pool, or relaxation area with solarium and sauna.

Other useful facilities include - a launderette and a luggage storage room.
There are a number of services available to guests including - rental of baby kits (cot, high chair), various housekeeping options, rental of equipment (hair dryers, raclette set etc), early check in / late check out, extra towels - and many others (supplements may apply for these services).
Why Book Alpe d'Huez?
Alpe d'Huez has been dubbed "The sunny island" due to having an incredible amount of sun all year round, giving skiers long days throughout the season.
The resort is located in the vast Grand Domaine ski area with around 250km of pistes. There's something for skiers of all abilities including the longest ski run in the world, the Sarenne (16km). Alpe d'Huez won the best ski resort in Europe as recent as 2020.
For the party people, there's great après-skiand plenty of bars and nightlife.
Unlike many other top French ski resorts, it's only a short transfer (1.5-2 hours) from Grenoble airport.
