Le Cristal de l'Alpe Apartments
The 4* Le Cristal de l'Alpe apartments are an excellent option for those looking for a great value, high standard ski holiday in Alpe d'Huez. Located in the heart of the resort centre, it's a fantastic location to enjoy all the resort has to offer with many of the resort's most popular restaurants and bars in close proximity.
The slopes are just 200m from the apartments, less than a 5 minute walk or a short bucket ride away. It's a great base to explore all that the vast Grand Domaine ski area offers. With around 250km of pistes, there's something for skiers of all abilities including the longest ski run in the world! Alpe d'Huez is famous for being sunny throughout the season and has been dubbed "the sunny island", so top up your tan whilst being surrounded by snow.
All of the apartments at residence CGH Le Cristal de l'Alpe are cosy and well equipped. All of the apartments come with a fully equipped kitchen to make your self catering stay as comfortable as possible.
A particular highlight of this residence is the free access to the onsite Spa area, which has an indoor swimming pool, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, hammam and fitness room. Spa treatments such as massages are available for a supplement.
Board Basis
As all of the Le Cristal de l'Alpe apartments come equipped with fully functional kitchens (4 ring ceramic hob, multi-function oven, hood, fridge, dishwasher, electric coffee maker, kettle, mixer, steamer and toaster), it makes a great choice for those wanting a self catering holiday.
This means that you would be able to eat what you want when you want rather than having to have set meal times. This is a fantastic option for families with any fussy kids or for those with food allergies. There is a supermarket in the same building for groceries.
The residence does offer a bakery delivery service, you would just need to arrange this at the reception the night before. Fresh bread and pastries can be sent directly to your apartment in the morning.
For those that want to eat out, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The residence is ideally located close to some of the most popular restaurants in the resort.
Apartment Sizes
There are four different apartment types available at the residence.
The smallest apartment available sleeps four people, with a double bedroom and a sofa bed. The largest apartment they have sleeps up to 8 people with three bedrooms and a sofa bed.

Ski School and Ski Hire Shop Location
There is a Skiset hire shop ideally located just across the road which saves time picking up your skis. The ESF ski school meeting point is a short walk or shuttle bus ride away.
Why Book Alpe d'Huez?
Alpe d'Huez has been dubbed "The sunny island" due to having an incredible amount of sun all year round, giving skiers long days throughout the season. The resort is located in the vast Grand Domaine ski area with around 250km of pistes. There's something for skiers of all abilities including the longest ski run in the world, the Sarenne (16km). Alpe d'Huez won the best ski resort in Europe as recent as 2020.
For the party people, there's great apres-ski and plenty of bars and nightlife.

Frequently Asked Questions
You can check in from 5pm and check out is at 9am. It's always worth going to the reception when you arrive to see whether the apartment is ready. They have a luggage storage room where you can leave your bags.
You will need to pay your tourist tax directly to the residence, this is €2.50 per person per day (+18). You will also have to pay a refundable damage deposit, this is €400 per apartment. This will be held until your apartment has been checked at the end of your stay. This can be paid by credit card at the reception when you check in. The funds are pre-authorised which means they are not taken off your card, but the amount will not be available to spend.

If you are going to be arriving after 8pm, you must contact the reception in advance of the day of your arrival to find out the late check in procedure. They will explain how to collect your keys.

Up to 15 days before travel, let us know if you have a preferred view, orientation, floor, building, or distance from reception, so we can inform the residence of your preferences. Subject to availability, we cannot guarantee that requests will be fulfilled but we will always ask for you.
An initial supply will be, after that you will need to purchase them. There is a supermarket in the same building for supplies and groceries.
Yes, there will be a hairdryer in the room. You can ask for an iron at the reception.
Yes, bed linen is provided and beds are made on arrival, sofa beds are not made on arrival. Towels (1 hand and 1 bath towel per person) are also provided. Extra towels can be rented for a supplement.
