L'Altaviva Apartments Tignes 1800

This recently opened (Dec 2018) residence is located in the Tignes 1800 part of Tignes. It's ideally ski in, ski out and is the perfect base to explore the Tignes-Val d'Isere ski area. It boasts a full south facing wooden deck that overlooks the pistes and houses the on site restaurant and swimming pool.

The residence has many facilities, services and activities for guests to enjoy such as - a beautiful reception area with a log burner, a spa area with indoor swimming pool, kids clubs, after ski activities such as yoga, organised snowball fights and pancake parties to name a few.

The residence sits on the piste with local amenities such as bars and restaurants nearby. There is a free shuttle bus that serves the resort, as well as the other villages in Tignes, so you can jump on if you don't feel like walking anywhere.

There are various different apartment types available, to suit different requirements and group sizes.

The smallest apartment available sleeps four people, with one bedroom and one sofa bed - and the largest apartment, sleeps 8 with 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed.

These apartments are available on a self catering basis, with a well equipped kitchenette in every apartment - this provides guests the option of staying in and cooking or heading out and enjoying the restaurants that Tignes 1800 has to offer.

Self catering is a particularly good choice for those travelling as a family, allowing guests to maintain a routine that works for them.

Why Choose Tignes?

The Tignes and Val d'Isere ski area comes under one lift pass and offers 300kms of top quality slopes. A large proportion of the pistes are over 2000-2500m, offering snow sure skiing and long runs. The Grand Motte glacier is one of the highest runs in Europe starting at over 3,700m. You can certainly feel the effects of the altitude at that height!

La Fornet Glacier in Val d'Isere also offers some great runs and you also have the Famous Face de Bellevarde black run dropping into Val d'isere village. This is the old Olympic Downhill ski run and it's scary to think that competitors used to straight line it down the final slope.

The different villages of Tignes are easily accessible using the free resort bus that stops regularly at each village.

Tignes 1800 itself is a charming, picturesque ski resort village that offers a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional alpine charm. It's a fairly quiet resort so if you are looking for a relaxing break away whilst having access to an amazing ski area this would be a great option for you.
