Les Balcons de la Rosiere is a 4* residence located at the foot of the slopes. All apartments benefit from great sunlight and offer a unique point of view on the Haute-Tarentaise valley! With free access to the onsite spa including hot tubs, saunas and hammam, as well as the indoor heated pool at their sister hotel just 300m down the road, you have the perfect opportunity to relax after a hard day skiing the 140km+ of the Espace San Bernardo ski area.


With the larger apartments offering ensuite bathrooms, it's a great residence to feel like you're staying in a chalet without the price tag of one! Each apartment is allocated their own private ski locker, and the residence also offers undercover parking (for a fee).


La Rosiere sits at 1850m and borders with Italian resort La Thuilem giving you the opportunity to say that you skiied in 2 countries on one holiday! With a wide variety of different runs, you'll find something to cater for every ability in La Rosiere.

At Les Balcons de la Rosiere you stay self catered or you can enjoy your evening meals at the residence's lovely onsite restaurant. You can choose to eat for the full week or choose 3 nights during your stay to visit the restaurant. The evening meals are a 3 course set menu, a particular highlight is the specialty evening which is a raclette or fondue.


 

Apartment sizes at Les Balcons de la Rosiere


There are a range of apartment sizes at Les Balcons de la Rosiere sleeping from 2 people all the way through to 16 people! The 8-10 person apartments and above even have ensuite bathrooms, even further making it feel like you're staying in a chalet. The best way to ensure a more cost-effective stay is to utilise the sofa beds in the living areas, but if you want more comfort, just choose a slightly larger apartment and pop everyone in a bedroom.


Each apartment offers a living area, a balcony, bathrooms that feature hydrotherapy bathtubs (with shower as well), and fully functioning kitchens (to help with those choosing to stay self-catered). The 6-8 person apartments and up also offer wood-burning stoves with logs provided. The true Winter holiday vibe!

The ESF ski school meeting point is located nearby, at the foot of the Les Eucherts ski lift.

This 30m² apartment of two main rooms can welcome up to 4 people. The bedroom has two beds and the living-room has a sofa bed for two. The living-room also has a TV and a phone. The bathroom, separated from the toilets, has a hydrotherapy bathtub and a hair-dryer.

This apartment, sometimes with a mezzanine floor, has 3 main rooms and is 56m². It can welcome up to 6 people and has two bedrooms. The living-room has a sofa bed for two as well as the TV and a phone. The bathroom has a hydrotherapy bathtub and a hair-dryer. You will also find a separate shower room and toilet in the apartment. The kitchen, fully equipped puts at your disposal a fan oven, an induction cooker, a dishwasher, an electric kettle, a microwave and a toaster.

This 68m² apartment of 4 main rooms can welcome up to 8 people. It has two bedrooms and a cabin bedroom (sleeping area) equipped with a bunkbed. This 180m² "prestige" apartment of 8 main rooms can welcome up to 16 people. It has 7 bedrooms, which all have a private bathroom with a hydrotherapy bathtub and a private toilet. The living-room has a sofa bed for two, as well as a TV and a phone. The apartment also provides a separate shower room and another toilet, as well as a private sauna and a relaxing area. The kitchen, fully equipped, provides you with a fan oven, a fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher, an induction cooker, a coffee machine, an electric kettle and a toaster.

Frequent Questions Asked

You can check-in from 5pm, but it's always worth going to the reception when you arrive (from 1pm) to see whether the apartment is ready. You have to check out by 10am.

Tourist tax @ €2.30 per person per day (free for under 18's). You will also have to leave a security deposit of €460 per apartment upon arrival. This can be paid by credit card at the reception when you check in. The funds are pre-authorised which means they aren’t taken off your card, but the amount will not be available to spend. The funds will be released once your room is checked after you leave.

The reception is open 0700h to 2000h on Saturdays. The rest of the week the reception is open 0800 to 1200 and 1600 to 1900.

We will contact the reception on your behalf prior to your departure and will inform them of your arrival time. There is usually a safety deposit box or similar in which your keys will be left. If you are delayed and haven't made any prior late arrival arrangements then its is very important that you call the reception before it closes and let them know your new arrival time.

Yes. Each apartment is allocated a private ski locker.

Yes, there is an unattended luggage storage area which you can utilise if you are waiting for your apartment or transfer.

It is possible to request this up to 15 days prior to your arrival. The request cannot be guaranteed.

Yes, you will get an initial supply in the apartment of around 10 logs. More can be requested from the reception / garage, a fee may be chargeable for extra logs.

Yes, there are American style filter coffe machines.

Free wifi is available at Les Balcons de la Rosiere, however, as you are in the Alps it isn't always the most reliable.

The spa area which houses the saunas, hot tub, hammam and relaxing area are free to use. The opening times are 1000-1200/1500-1900 Monday to Friday, 1500-1900 on Sundays and closed on Saturdays. Massages and other spa treatment are available for a supplement. The indoor swimming pool located in their sister Hotel Alparena is open 1000-1200/1400-2000 every day.

Yes, there is covered parking available at the residence. It is €63 per car, per week and will need to be paid directly to the reception. Please let us know asap if you require a car parking space. There is limited availability and also a height limit.
