Boasting a prime location at an altitude of 2300 meters, the residence provides direct ski in, ski out access to the vast 3 Valleys ski area, ensuring an unparalleled skiing experience for all levels.

Le Gypaete offers a fantastic location close to the resort centre, with lots of bars and restaurants in a close proximity, it's ideal for those looking to party in Val Thorens. The well-equipped apartments feature a private bathroom and a kitchenette for preparing basic meals. Towels and bed linen are provided.

A highlight of the residence is that guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks from their south facing balconies, a perfect place to relax with a morning coffee.

At Le Gypaete there is a welcoming lounge area, with seating, a pool table and a fireplace where guests can enjoy a bit of downtime after a long day on the slopes.

Residence Le Gypaete Catering/Board

La Gypaete residence is a self catering residence, the apartments have small kitchenettes that can be used to prep basic meals, ideal for breakfasts and making up packed lunches to take on the slopes.

There are supermarkets nearby for groceries and plenty of fantastic restaurants in Val Thorens for dinners.

We have a great value half board deal with John's restaurants (John's Scandinavian and John's American, both 3 minutes walk from Le Gypaete) that you can add onto your booking. This includes breakfasts at John's Scandinavian and a 3 course dinner each night at either John's Scandinavian or John's American. The food at John's is amazing and is fantastic value for money in Val Thorens!

There is just one apartment type at residence La Gypaete, a 4 person studio. The description is below -

Accommodation: 1 living area, 1 sleeping alcove, 1 kitchenette, 1 bathroom and toilet.
Living room facilities: 1 double sofa bed and 1 sleeping alcove with a bunk bed (recommended for children).
Bathroom facilities: 1 bath and 1 toilet.
Kitchen facilities: Equipped open-plan kitchenette and living area.
Other information: The apartments are south-facing.

Val Thorens Popular Dates

Val Thorens is an incredibly popular resort, by far our most popular. The ski season runs from late November to late April/early May. Peak times include over Christmas and New Year, and the February and the Easter school holidays. Book early to ensure you are able to visit the accommodation you want to, at the best prices.

The ESF ski school in Val Thorens is great, with friendly English speaking instructors. It's the perfect place to learn or to hone your skills.

In Val Thorens you have 2 options when it comes to ski passes, the Val Thorens local ski pass which includes approximately 150km of pistes, so plenty for beginners and intermediate level skiers or as mentioned previously the full 3 Valleys ski pass. The full 3 Valleys ski pass allows you to ski over to neighbouring ski resorts Meribel and Courchevel.

Val Thorens itself caters to a wide range of group types, whether you are a couple, a family or a large group there is something for everyone. For groups looking to party, Val Thorens is right up there in terms of aprés ski, bars and nightlife. For couples, there's a wide range of amazing restaurants for a lovely romantic meal. For families, there are many off slope activities to keep the kids entertained for the duration of your stay including a bowling alley, a sports centre with a swimming pool, a fun park (soft play/play park), a toboggan run, a cinema, an ice rink, snow groomer rides etc.
