Get me to the Alps (AJW GMTTA Ltd) Privacy Policy

At Get me to the Alps, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our passengers, visitors to our website, and subscribers to our mailing list. Here you will find information on how we treat the data which we collect from passengers, visitors to our website, or when someone subscribes to our mailing list.

Types of data we collect:

Passenger information
This is collected and maintained through our online booking system at the time of creating a user account and while booking a holiday with Get me to the Alps.

We collect the following essential information from our passengers: full name, email address, mobile number, gender, date of birth and nationality. We may also collect booking information such as, but not limited to: booking options, dietary requirements, medical conditions and next of kin details. Information is collected to enable us to provide the service level our passengers expect while on holiday.

Both essential and booking information may be shared with our suppliers to be able to provide you with the service or product you have booked; your information may also be shared with your group leader(s) to enable them to communicate important information regarding your holiday. Where such sharing is required only the minimum amount of data required to provide said service will be disclosed. Any sharing of data will be solely for the delivery of the holiday you have booked and not for any marketing purposes.

To offer the best possible service while on holiday, our resort reps and security personnel have access to your information through our rep mobile app. Access to your information is granted on a short term basis and revoked once you return from your holiday.

To travel abroad, it may be mandatory (as required by government authorities at the point(s) of departure and/or destination) to disclose and process your information for immigration, border control, security and anti-terrorism purposes, or any other purposes which they determine appropriate. These requirements may differ depending on your destination. You are advised to check these requirements before travel. Even if not mandatory, we may exercise our discretion to assist the relevant authorities, where appropriate.

Any refunds owed to our passengers are processed by bank transfer. To carry out this transaction we are required to collect your bank details. For UK transactions this is the account holder name, account number and sort code. For international transactions this is the account holder name, IBAN, SWIFT/BIC code and bank address. This information is deleted from our database once the refund has been processed.

We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third party provider, MailChimp, to send emails to our mailing list. We gather statistics regarding email openings and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our email content. For more information, please see Hubspot and Brevo’s privacy notice.
