If you look at the detailed village map of the Arc 1950 le village apartments you will see the names of the residences located within Arc 1950. The 2 blocks of apartments that offer and indoor and an outdoor swimming pool are the Hameau du Glacier and the Princes des Cimes. The apartments themselves are very similar in size and layout, the difference being the pools that you have access to.

The Hameau du Glacier and Le Princes des Cimes have a larger outdoor pool with an adjacent hot tub, a smaller outdoor pool and a large indoor poolwith sauna. The Hameau du Glacier and Le Princes des Cimes apartments are priced higher to reflect these extra facilities.

Arc 1950 Le Village apartments and board basis

As all Arc 1950 le Village apartments are equipped with fully functioning kitchens, you have the option of staying self-catered. This means that you would be able to eat what you want when you want (great for any fussy kids you may have in the group). A quick stop at one of the resort supermarkets gives you free rein of what you eat!

If you don’t fancy cooking on your holiday, there is also the option of staying in this accommodation half-board (breakfast and evening meal). Your meals would be served in Nonna Lisa, a local restaurant just down the road from the residence (less than a 2 minute walk).

Your meals would consist of
- Buffet breakfast including breads, jams, hot drinks etc
- 3 course evening meals including fondue, burgers and a range of pizzas

Aside from not having to cook your holiday, another benefit is that there would be no missed evenings like you would have in a catered chalet so no need to factor in that extra cost.

Arc 1950 as a resort

The 4 main Les Arcs bases (1600, 1800, 1950, 2000) are all really pretty, lined with Christmas trees. Les Arcs 1950 is probably one of the quietest of the 4 in terms of apres, which makes it very popular with families and those looking to really concentrate on their skiing (and wanting a great nights sleep!). Arc 1950 is the newest of the 4 bases, and has been very much designed with families in mind with ski schools, shops and restaurants all very close together. The resort offers a self-service games room (actually located with Le Village) which has table tennis, a football table and wooden games, which is a lovely way to wind down after a long day skiing.
