Spotlight on… Arc 1950 Le Village Apartments

Premium Residence Arc 1950 Le Village is a high-standard accommodation in Les Arcs 1950 giving you everything that you could possibly need from a residence!

The accommodation

Premium Residence Arc 1950 Le Village consist of 5* self-catered apartments sleeping between 2 and 10 people in 1 to 4 bedrooms. The apartments come in standard or superior levels (the 4 bedroom 10 person option is only available as standard). If you have more than 10 people or want more bedrooms, not a problem at all, we’d just look at multiple apartments.

The apartments are spread over a number of different blocks, all within the same little complex so it’s super easy to catch up with friends if they are in a different block. 2 of the blocks (Le Princes des Cimes and Hameau du Glacier) are a little more expensive, as they give you free access to a larger outdoor swimming pool with hot tub, a smaller outdoor swimming pool as well as a large indoor swimming pool with sauna.

All other blocks offer free access to an outdoor swimming pool with indoor sauna. These other apartments are allocated randomly, but if you did look at the map of the complex and have a preference on which block you were in, we can request this. This will incur a fee that would be payable directly to the residence on arrival.

All apartments are ski-in/ski-out which makes life so much easier! As the accommodation is purpose-built as its own little complex, the entire residence is pedestrianised which can help ease your mind if you have little ones in the group who like to wander!

Your stay would include free access to the swimming pool facilities mentioned previously, a cleaning kit, bed linen with beds made on arrival, towels, 2 bathrobes per apartment as well as end of stay cleaning. There is also basic Wi-Fi included. Each apartment also benefits from a hairdryer and safe.

The residence offers ski lockers at the residence and an unattended luggage store. Pets are also allowed for an additional fee. There is also a car park

A huge benefit of this accommodation is the fact that there is a Skiset equipment hire shop within the residence. This is the ski hire shop that we work with so it’s a nice short walk to pick up and drop off your skis and if you wanted to make any amendments in the week, it’s right on your doorstep.

You can read more about the accommodation and apartment sizes here.

The catering

All of the apartments in Premium Residence Arc 1950 Le Village offer fully functioning kitchens allowing you to stay self-catered, comfortably cooking all your meals in your apartment. There is a supermarket and local produce shops within the complex to enable you to buy all your food.

Alternatively, if you didn’t want to cook on your holiday (we don’t blame you!), we have teamed up with a local restaurant in order to be able offer this accommodation half-board (breakfasts and evening meals).

Your meals would be served in local restaurant Nonna Lisa, which is just down the road from the Arc 1950 Le Village Apartments (less than a 2-minute walk). These would be served each morning and night of your stay, so no missed nights like in a chalet.

You would receive continental buffet breakfasts including breads, jams, hot drinks and your 3-course evening meals would consist of things such as pizza, fondue, tartiflette etc. There are vegetarian options available too.

The resort

Les Arcs 1950 is one of the 4 Les Arcs resorts, and is actually the newest of the 4. It’s definitely been designed with families in mind with everything in close proximity to each other.

Les Arcs 1950, as the name suggests, sits at 1950m above sea level which helps with snow levels towards the start and end of season. 70% of the Paradiski area sits above 2000m and 60% of the area has snowmaking facilities, are another 2 reasons which make this a great option for start and end of season. Les Arcs offers you 210km of piste with around 15 black runs, 30 reds, 55 blues and a green. Les Arcs also sits within the Paradiski area, which gives access to around 425km of piste so if you’re looking to get those miles in and to get out explore, Les Arcs and the wider Paradiski area should definitely be an option for you!

Whether you’re a beginner just finding your feet or an experienced skier, Arcs 1950 and the wide Paradiski area definitely cater for you.

For the shared transfers, you need to fly into Geneva. The transfer time from there is around 3 hours 30 - 3 hours 45 which is common for a resort of this height and size. If you were set on flying into Lyon or Grenoble, we would need to look at private transfers.

Who do we think Premium Residence Arc 1950 Le Village suits?

We think it’s fair to say that Premium Residence Arc 1950 Le Village is best geared towards families and those looking to really focus on their skiing. The apres scene in Arc 1950 isn’t huge, and whilst there are some bars and restaurants etc, if you were looking for a strong nightlife scene, you’d be best off heading towards Arc 1800.
