Price is often a key factor for a ski trip and we know that not everyone is looking for a 5* luxurious option with spa facilities for their trip. We have a wide range of accommodation options to cater to all groups and budgets. Privately owned apartments for skiing can be a great way to keep the prices down on your ski trip and can be a great base for the week. These are apartments that are privately owned by someone and then rented out throughout the season. They have full cooking facilities to allow you to cook your own food, and as they’re an apartment have a lounge area to allow you to hang out and socialise in the evenings – always a nice thing when you’re on holiday as a group.

 

We work with a range of privately owned apartments for skiing in Val Thorens and Val d’Isere, which are rented out via an agency, and the agency office is where you would pick your keys up from and check-in at. These apartments are located all over the resorts, so if you had a preference on where you stayed (whether you wanted to be a little more central, on the Westside or Eastside) we would just look at options available there! As with all apartments, these are most cost-effective if you are happy to utilise bunk beds/sofa beds, but if you are looking for more space it’s not a problem, we just look at larger options. For the apartments in Val Thorens, if we opt for apartments in certain locations we can team up with local restaurants to offer your stay half-board, dinners only or B&B (so you don’t have to cook!).

 

Recently, we've seen a rise in customers booking their own privately-owned accommodations for their ski holidays through places like air BnB. We get it! They can be really great value when compared to other accommodation options. However, once you add in the extras (transfers, lift passes, hire etc) we often find that our packages are still cheaper as we have access to some really great deals. Furthermore, booking through these types of places can have reasonably high risks in terms of being cancelled by the owner etc, and covid protection is also something to think about. We have had several cases already this year whereby customers have had their air BnB accommodation cancelled, leaving them with nowhere to stay and having to start the search all over again. In these cases, it has been on peak weeks like New Years, which then makes finding alternative accommodation more difficult. This isn't the sort of stress that you need when planning the perfect ski trip!
