French phrases for your ski holiday

Useful French phrases for your ski holiday

We all know that the English have a bit of a reputation for not being great with languages. Whilst it’s common for European children to be speaking 2-3 languages well from an early age, us Brits just aren’t on the same level – generally speaking we can all say “where is the library?” and that’s about it! It's definitely worthwhile having a few French phrases for your ski holiday.

It’s always respectful and common decency to at least have a bash at a few native words or phrases when you’re on your holiday (and no, just saying things in English but louder, doesn’t count!). Even if you don’t quite make sense, or they respond back to you in English anyway, they will definitely appreciate the thought and you might spark a great conversation making some new friends!

We have compiled a table of some useful French phrases for your ski holiday, and also how to pronounce them (literally sounding it out). Why not practice these to use next time you’re away?
