Ski Holidays in Sainte Foy

Ski holidays in Sainte Foy are a popular choice for family ski holidays, and there's good reason for that. It's not the largest of the French resorts or the largest of ski areas with 41km pistes but because of that it's also not busiest and has a peaceful atmosphere ideal for a family holiday.

Sainte Foy is a lovely picturesque village with traditional alpine-style buildings, that gives you a real authentic feel of a winter wonderland. Away from the hustle and bustle of the larger, crowded resorts Sainte-Foy offers a haven to enjoy the mountains and to make special memories that will stay with the family for a long time. The resort prides itself on its protected natural environment and is often described as a secret hideaway, with a rich architectural heritage and classic mountain atmosphere.

Although not the highest of resorts, the unique microclimate that is mainly created from easterly air currents from the Italian Alps allows for heavy snowfall to ensure good that's it snowsure across the season. On top of that, there's 100 snow cannon that cover all the pistes below 2100m and 55% of the ski area in total.

Parents will be reassured by the funnel shaped terrain in which all the runs lead back to the resort centre, which goes someway to ensure peace of mind.

Skiing In Sainte Foy

With something for everyone, beginners and advanced skiers alike will be able to find beautiful pistes to keep them entertained.

There are 26 pistes of varying difficulty but the pisted runs are best suited to beginner and intermediate level skiiers, the pistes are quiet so it's the ideal place to learn to ski or to improve. Whilst the more advanced can explore the renowned off piste sking. We would always recommend doing off piste with an instructor for safety. 3 "Nature Pistes" are left untouched by the groomers so you can enjoy "natural skiing".

There is also a free beginner's area in which you wouldn't need a ski pass until you are feeling confident and ready to take to the lifts.

All in all, Sainte Foy isn't the largest of ski areas but there is some variety for all levels, what is guaranteed is the stunning views you will experience if you choose to visit!
