Ski Holidays In La Tania
Situated in the 3 Valleys, the largest linked ski area in the world, La Tania is a quieter and cheaper alternative to the other resorts in the 3 Valleys. If you are on a budget but want to experience the legendary 3 Valleys ski area, La Tania is the resort for you!
The local Courchevel-La Tania ski area is suited more to beginners whereas the wider 3 Valleys ski area has something for everyone so regardless of the skiing abilities in your group La Tania can work for you.
Much of the accommodation is ski in, ski out which makes getting to the pistes a doddle which is ideal for young families, it saves parents carrying skis around and kids walking in their ski boots.
Skiing In La Tania
Beginners and families: With 19 green and 35 blue runs the La Tania-Courchevel area offers plenty of variety for beginners and younger skiers. There are also four ZEN zones – gentle slopes in enclosed areas designed specifically for novices.
Intermediate: There are 111 red runs to enjoy across the Three Valleys (34 in La Tania-Courchevel) all easily accessible via numerous lifts, runs over the ridges and linking passes. If you want to try your hand at cross country skiing, there is 66km of marked and maintained trails to explore.
Advanced: If you like your descents steep and challenging, you’ll find 30 black runs across the 3 Valleys. In the La Tania-Courchevel Valley head for the Saluire/Creux area with its varied network of black and red runs at altitudes between 2,000 and 2,700 metres. On days when visibility isn’t too good the black runs near Le Praz are a good option.
Snowboarding: With a huge choice of runs for beginners and intermediates, it's great for a bit of exploring with trees near Le Praz and lots of back country to with natural half-pipes, hits and drops. At Courchevel Railpark you’ll find boxes, rails, a quarter pipe, different grade kickers and more.
Accommodation In La Tania
La Tania offers a whole array of accommodation options in the village, with many accommodation options being ski in, ski out, access to the slopes wherever you are staying in the resort is undoubtedly a major plus point.

Residence Le Britania La Tania is ideally centrally located, which is pedestrianised and sits within the huge 3 Valleys ski area, the largest ski area in the world with 600km of pistes! This ski in, ski out residence offers good value 3* self catering apartments.
The Apres Ski
The apres ski in La Tania is not a huge focus as it's more of a family orientated resort, however, there are plenty of bars to sample. For those looking for better apres ski, one of the larger, more popular resorts in the 3 Valleys such as Val Thorens or Meribel will be the places to go.
But if, like many others, you are here with the family and not out for a party, there are many lovely restaurants to visit. There is even Michelin-starred options.
There are a few different activities to get involved in if you want to take a break from the skis. Other activities include - paragliding, dog sledding and hot air ballooning, with many others available if you were to ski to the other 3 Valleys resorts.
Transfers
Getting to La Tania isn't the easiest despite it being such a popular resort.
Ben’s Bus offers shared airport transfers to Moutiers and you can get a short taxi ride from there up to La Tania.
Alternatively, private transfers are an option, this would be a door to door service and there's no waiting around at the airport. For groups of 8 (which is the sweet spot for minibus transfers) are pretty good value for money.
